ProSlides (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data we collect

We collect the following information when you use ProSlides:

• Account information: your email address, used for authentication and communication.
• Documents: the .docx files you upload for slide extraction.
• Presentation data: the slides, text, and formatting you create or edit within ProSlides.
• Usage data: anonymous analytics such as pages visited and features used, collected via a third-party analytics service.

How we use your data

Your data is used to:

• Provide and operate the ProSlides service.
• Extract text from your uploaded documents and generate ProPresenter files.
• Authenticate your account via login links sent by email.
• Improve the service based on anonymous usage patterns.

Document handling

Your uploaded .docx files are stored temporarily in Amazon S3 for the purpose of slide extraction. Generated .pro files are stored in S3 so you can download them. You can delete your presentations at any time, which removes the associated files from our storage.

AI processing disclosure

ProSlides may use AI services (Anthropic Claude) to assist with text processing and slide generation. When AI processing is used, only the text content of your slides is sent to the AI provider. Your documents are not stored by the AI provider beyond the duration of the processing request.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate ProSlides:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): cloud infrastructure, database, file storage, and email delivery.
• Stripe: payment processing. We do not store your credit card information directly. Stripe handles all payment data securely.
• Anthropic: AI text processing, as described above.
• Vercel: frontend hosting and content delivery.
• Analytics provider: anonymous usage analytics.

Cookies

ProSlides uses essential cookies to manage your authentication session. We also use third-party analytics cookies to collect anonymous usage data. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other websites. If you are visiting from a region where consent is required (such as the EU, UK, or EEA), we ask for your permission before setting analytics cookies and honor that choice on subsequent visits.

Data retention

Your account data and presentations are retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children's privacy

ProSlides is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website.
