Getting started

1. Create your account

Go to the login page and enter your email address. We will send you a login link — click it to log in. No password needed.

2. Upload a document

From your dashboard, hit “New presentation” and drop in your file. ProSlides accepts Word documents (.docx) and Markdown files (.md).

If you have highlighted or commented text in your Word doc, those passages become your slides — everything else is ignored. No highlights? No problem — ProSlides converts each paragraph into a slide instead.

The more you organize your notes into distinct paragraphs or sections, the cleaner your slides will be.

3. Edit your slides

Your slides appear at full resolution, ready to review. Drag to reorder, click to edit text and formatting, or delete slides you don't need.

4. Download your .pro file

When everything looks right, click the download button to generate a ProPresenter 7 .pro file. Open it in ProPresenter and you are ready to present.

Troubleshooting

My .pro file won't open in ProPresenter

ProSlides generates files for ProPresenter 7. Earlier versions (ProPresenter 6 and below) are not supported. If the file opens but slides appear blank or text looks wrong, check that the fonts used in your template are installed on the ProPresenter computer.

My highlights were not detected

ProSlides detects highlighted text in Word documents using Word's built-in highlight tool (the marker icon in the toolbar). Custom text background colors applied through other methods may not be detected. For best results, use the standard yellow highlight. Commented text is also detected — use Word's “New Comment” feature on any passage to include it as a slide.

I did not receive my login email

Check your spam or junk folder. Login emails come from noreply@proslides.app. If you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, check your quarantine folder. Still nothing? Try submitting your email again from the login page — login links expire after 15 minutes, so requesting a fresh one is fine.

My slides look different in ProPresenter than in the preview

The ProSlides preview is an approximation. Font rendering, line breaks, and text sizing may differ slightly in ProPresenter depending on your screen resolution, theme settings, and installed fonts. Always do a quick check in ProPresenter before your service.

Can I use ProSlides on my phone or tablet?

ProSlides works in any modern browser, including mobile Safari and Chrome. The editor is optimized for desktop but is functional on tablets. For the best experience, use a laptop or desktop computer.
